Oracle and Quantinuum Partner to Advance Hybrid Quantum Computing on OCI

Quantinuum’s planned Helios deployment will bring quantum computing alongside OCI’s AI and high-performance computing infrastructure.

Oracle and Quantinuum have announced a multi-year partnership to broaden access to quantum computing through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), supporting enterprise innovation and scientific research.

The collaboration includes plans to deploy Quantinuum’s Helios quantum computer within a US-based OCI AI data center. Customers are expected to access the system through Oracle’s planned quantum service, combining quantum capabilities with existing GPU and high-performance computing resources.

AThe initiative aims to simplify adoption by enabling organizations to explore hybrid workloads without procuring or operating specialized quantum hardware.

Areas of potential application include:

• Drug discovery and materials research.
• Financial modeling.
• Logistics, energy and large-scale optimization.
• Enterprise AI and scientific computing.

The planned service is expected to integrate with OCI’s existing infrastructure and governance controls. In its August 11 announcement, Oracle outlined plans for a preview in the coming months.

The partnership reflects a shared ambition to make quantum computing a practical complement to classical computing and AI.
