The successful live trial demonstrates a record-setting 1 Tbps line rate on the Mumbai–Chennai route — one of the most critical long-haul corridors for digital infrastructure in India — without requiring signal regeneration.

• Constl becomes India’s first digital infrastructure provider to successfully test and deploy a 1 Tbps line rate over such a long-haul distance using WL6e.
• Using WL6e, Constl doubles its fibre-wavelength capacity from 800 Gb/s to1.6 Tb/s compared to its previous WaveLogic 5 Extreme deployment — while also reducing the cost per bit, improving spectral efficiency, and lowering power consumption.
